There are times that when we install an application in our PC this will as for a Reboot, right? Well, most of the technician and those who knows a little about these instances knows about this. So, why not use this simple tweak to restart your (OS) without rebooting your actual PC. You can use that application directly without actual restarting your computer. Just follow this simple method and you can have it.
~this works both with windows vista and xp.
so heres the trick..
Vista:
Select Start, then hover over the right arrow that is to the right of
the padlock icon until the pop-up menu appears that contains “restart”
as one of it’s choices. Hold down the SHIFT key while clicking on the
“restart” choice.
Windows xp:
Select Start. Select “Shut Down…”. Change the drop-down combo box under “What do you want the computer to do?” to “Restart”. Hold down the SHIFT key while clicking on the “OK” button.
