Amazingly, this Taiwanese manufacturer of MSI has recently updated its line of high-end graphics cards with the introduction of a custom GeForce GTX 285 card, providing users with as much as 2GB of GDDR3 RAM memory and a custom dual-slot cooling solution. The new card builds on the performances achieved by NVIDIA’s fastest single-GPU graphics card offering released so far, the GeForce GTX 285.
This new NVIDIA-based is part of the new line of SuperPipe-equipped graphics cards, specifically designed to provide users with an alternative to the reference cards. The SuperPipe technology is meant to improve cooling by using 8mm thick heatpipes, which are 60% thicker than competitive solutions. MSI have said that this technology allows for a cooling boost of approximately 90%, which essentially enables the enthusiast PC user to further boost the performance of the card by overclocking the card’s GPU and memory to higher speeds.
