Here’s the new update from Apple to its iTunes digital media player, adding improved compatibility with iPhone and iPod touch running iPhone OS 3.0, and addressing an issue with verification of Apple devices. The software is free and requires at least Mac OS X 10.4.10 (Tiger) on the Mac side, and Win XP SP2 or Vista, on the Windows front.

iTunes 8.2 now supports iPhone or iPod touch with the iPhone 3.0 Software Update. iTunes 8.2 also includes many accessibility improvements and bug fixes.
iTunes 8.2.1 provides a number of important bug fixes and addresses an issue with verification of Apple devices. This version also supports several languages, including Deutsch, English, Français, Español, Italiano, Nederlands, Dansk, Norsk Bokmål, Polski, Português, Português Brasileiro, P??????, Suomi, Svensk, Chinese, Japanese and Koreean. It’s good to see that Apple reacts fast to glitches with their products. That’s why they are so reliable and are such a trusted brand. It’s funny though, for as many new updates to iTunes that I have seen…when are they going to alter the interface a little. I mean, I don’t want a full blown change. Not something that is going to make iTunes look ugly, but something maybe a little nicer. The iPhone/iPod Touch 3.0 software is outstanding just to throw that tid bit of information out there!
