Following a successful peripheral market with a wireless illuminated keybaord, peripheral maker Logitech is now trying to cater to the needs of those who have little liking for cables but hold quality headgear in high regard, by unveiling the Wireless Headset H760.
The issue with wireless peripherals is that they are always faced with the prospect of running out of battery power. While this may prove, at times, aggravating in case of keyboards and mice, since no one likes their items dying in the middle of a virtual firefight, it is less of a critical problem for other devices.
The company has now decided to further expand its cable-less collection with the addition of the Wireless headset H760. This new electronic device is not meant for gaming, instead being aimed at those that frequently engage in activities that prevent them from standing still or seated in a chair. Thus, the transmitter embedded into the headset can maintain the link to the PC over a distance of up to 12 meters.
In addition, it uses an over-the-head design and boasts sculpted, pivoting ear pads, so that the necessary degree of comfort is assured. They even managed to squeeze in a battery life of up to six hours, and this should be longer than the time it takes for most conversations to finish. Unfortunately, it is not yet available, being set to start shipping in the US and Asia later this month.
