Last Thursday, the daughter of the owner who became our friend, comes home for a month-long vacation. But, surprisingly she is staying for two months because she is planning on getting married. Well, at last she is going to tie the knot. We thought she will do it ahead of us because she is much older. But, time has passed and yet she remains single.

Indeed, learning something like this is really exciting. But, I wonder where her engagement ring is; probably she is not wearing it because she is keeping the event a secret. I’m curious if it’s one of those engagement rings like the natalie portman’s engagement ring where the diamond encrusted engagement ring is a round stone offset by pave diamonds. I wanted to buy wifey this type of ring, but I just can’t afford it.

A few weeks ago, wifey received an invitation from the mall she is a member of. They are having a day sale exclusive to the member in all items. I’m not sure how much discount they are giving, but I think it’s somewhere 10 to 20% off, which is already good for this season. Unfortunately, the thought slips off our mind and completely forget about the event, which is supposedly this day. It’s too late for us since we remember it during mall closing time.

Oh well, I guess I won’t be able to buy the coogi jeans I’m eyeing for quite some time already. I like this brand because each of the products is made with the meticulous detail of an expensive, exclusive line, but is priced for the masses. While searching the web, I’m surprised to see a huge slash of the retail price of the jeans. This is indeed my opportunity and I won’t let it slip my hands this time. Well, got to buy this thing before it goes away.

time to focus on our life

At last, wifey and I can now focus on our own life. We are already done with our responsibilities towards her sister’s schooling so it’s our chance to build our life together as a family. For the meantime, moving back to our old place is the best way since we still need to do a lot of planning. We need to raise the right amount of funds before we can settle in one place, which is her hometown. That way we can start a small business and probably buy a car and a house.

Speaking of house, we are considering the use of laminate flooring especially if we end up buying an under developed house. We feel using such material will make the house homier. Laminate floors also offer realistic designs and can replicate the characteristics of the popular hand scraped hardwood floors. Also, it costs less, the installation is easier, and it’s easy to maintain. It really matches our flooring need.

Before anything else, I would have to leave the thought alone. There is a need to focus my attention on raising the funds we need. I will concentrate my attention on that matter.

talking about losing weight

Talking about losing weight isn’t a new thing in this blog. Wifey and I share the same desire for a long time. But, she is more passionate than I do. Actually, I just go with the flow that’s why I’m still in the same state whereas wifeys’ numbers goes up and down, up and down and so on. It means she is just having trouble maintaining her desired weight.

However, I’m really amazed by the new weight of wifey’s brother. He is much leaner now as compared to the last time I saw him. He said he put a lot of effort to achieve his new body now. It was out of the combination of regular exercise, balance diet and using diet pills that work. He finds time to deal with his goal, despite his hectic schedule. His next goal is to achieve more muscle mass.

I wonder if I could have the same discipline as he has. For sure, I will also enjoy having great body if ever.

trouble with motorcycle accident

A few months ago, dad got into trouble with motorcycle accident. It was actually the first time after 20 years of being a motorcycle driver. I can say that he is a very good, sane and careful driver. But, the other party is too drunk to drive and sway his car into my father’s motorcycle. Good thing nothing serious happen because dad was able to pre-empt the cars move. Also, the other party paid all the expenses the reason dad did not make any complaints towards him.

Wifey and I loved the “clean my house” show in lifestyle network. It is where we learn home design ideas that help us create a visual of our future home. That is why we watch it whenever we have time. But, we can’t follow it every time because of our busy schedule.

Fortunately, before dinner this day we watch the show. It featured a small house that is full of clutter. Of course, the host has to let go of most of the stuff in order to welcome new ones. But, it ends up truly luxurious and refreshing with the new furniture, fixtures and lighting. They arrange everything accordingly that gives it an inviting look. They add some decorations that add beauty to the entire house.

It amazes me how some people can design a house. It is one skill that I want to learn. But, I guess it will take some time before I will learn it. Good thing I can watch shows like these that really help me learn.

When termites attack it is understandable to freak out a little. Why not? Well, we all know termites are only detectable when the timbers are severely damaged and exhibit surface changes. Oh well, mom panic after discovering that my room that she creates into a storage area, are full of termites.
